A dark cloud has been left hanging over Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL) as the Government of Lesotho has issued a directive of purchasing drugs and medical supplies and distribute them to CHAL facilities without a proper agreement between them which seem to overwrite the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2007.

This, CHAL Executive Director, Mrs. Makatleho Mohasi indicated during a press conference held at CHAL Secretariat offices on Monday.

Mrs. Mohasi stated that currently CHAL faces obstacles including the delay of money acquired through government for services they provided, the government failing to improve service in CHAL' s facilities, stagnant staffing levels prompted by the government which decelerates the service offered despite increasing rate of patients as well as deaths.
