The Examinations Council of Lesotho (ECOL) has confirmed its readiness to administer the 2024 Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education (LGCSE) examinations which are set to commence in October and conclude in November 2024. In a statement issued by ECOL Chief Executive, Dr. Mokhitli Khoabane, the council assured the public and all stakeholders that extensive preparations have been made to ensure a smooth and efficient examination process for candidates across the country.

Dr. Khoabane emphasized its commitment to fair, transparent and effective administration of the exams.He mentioned that to maintain the highest standards of integrity, ECOL has enhanced security protocols for handling examination materials. Dr. Khoabane added that monitoring systems in all examination centres have been improved to prevent malpractice and ensure that the examination process adheres to required standards. He mentioned that the training of invigilators and examiners have been conducted to ensure they are well prepared to manage the examination in line with ECOL policies and procedures.

He indicated that students are urged to arrive at examination centres early with the necessary identification and materials to ensure they are prepared for assessments. When closing, Dr. Khoabane reassured the public that all measures are in place for a smooth administration of the 2024 LGCSE exams and extended best wishes to all candidates, encouraging them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills confidently.
