The Public Affairs Office of the Lesotho Defence Force(LDF) issued a report concerning the shooting incident which took place on the 21st June 2018, at the Ratjomose barracks between the two LDF officers of the titles of Sergeant and Corporal.

The shooting was a result of a quarrel between those two officers.

However the other officers who witnessed the incident managed to disarm the corporal of his 9mm rival, and handed him over with his rival to the military police.

LDF reported that the wounded sergeant was rushed to the hospital, where his condition was declared stable by the doctors.

Therefore the Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS) will work hand in hand with the military police for further investigations into this matter.
