Leribe, 08 March - The Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police commanding Leribe, Khethang Tenane, says the district experienced a peaceful Easter holiday, free of major criminal activities.

Tenane said this in an interview with the Agency on Tuesday, noting that the police had put in place a comprehensive operational plan to ensure public safety throughout the holiday period.

Meanwhile, Leribe District Medical Officer, Dr. Pusetso Topo, confirmed that compared to previous years, the number of injuries reported during the Easter holidays was relatively low.

He stated that from April 02 to April 05, only 12 cases of stab wounds were recorded, while just one gunshot case was reported over the same period. Regarding road accidents, Dr. Topo said 16 patients were treated for injuries sustained in accidents that occurred between April 03 and April 05.
