Leribe __ As part of its mandate, Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) is continuing with collection of clothes from different parts of the district.

This was revealed by LRCS Divisional Secretary Leribe, Mr. Mokhethi Mahase in an interview with the LENA on Friday.

Mr. Mahase said for 2024, many people within the district gave out clothes as this is an ongoing activity.

Moreover, he said the office of the District Administrator Leribe was not an exception, saying it gave out clothes and shoes through its collection.

The Divisional Secretary said amongst many incidents, this week they have to respond to the household of nine members whose house and belongings were burned to ashes at Matlameng.

"Part of the collected clothes will be given out to those people," he stated.

He highlighted that in different areas of the district they select community members in need of assistance through LRCS volunteers.

The Agency has learned that the office of the District Administrator Leribe has put out the box on its entrance for collection of clothes and Sanitary pads.

Lesotho Red Cross Society was established in 1967, classified as a humanitarian organisation whose core business is to focus on vulnerability and alleviating human suffering wherever it may be found, caused by either manmade and natural disasters.
