Maseru —The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) is participating in the SAFE Stadium Initiative Training Programme hosted by COSAFA and CAF in Johannesburg.

LeFA is represented at the workshop by Mr. ‘Mota Rankhethoa who is a trained Safety and Security Personnel.

According to LeFA Communications and Media Manager  Mr. Mikia Kalati, , the three-day workshop brings together participants for a combination of classroom-based learning, scenario discussions and practical stadium exercises designed to enhance the planning and delivery of safe football events.

He added that the programme is being led by safety and security challenges faced across Africa, as well as the CAF Safety and Security regulations that guide the organization of the matches and competitions on the continent.

The workshop forms part of CAF’s broader drive to promote safe, secure, and welcoming stadium environments for players, officials and supporters across the continent.

Meanwhile, LeFA Technical Director, Mr. Caswell Moru had the first engagement with the parents of 33 players placed at the LeFA Academy.

The meeting presented updates on the players’ academic and football progress, outlined upcoming events, and provided parents with an opportunity to share their views and opinions.
