Just like other countries, Lesotho celebrated world Aids day This day is marked to spread awareness about the epidemic supporting those who live with the virus and remembering those who lost their battle against HIV/AIDS ,and it was the first ever global health day, held for the first time in 1988.
The HIV/AIDS virus was first identified in 1984 and while the negative stigma surrounding those affected by it has decreased, it remains a global health epidemic that deserves to be addressed.
The most affected are under-served populations, including Blacks.
At the present moment, Lesotho is the most affected country since it is in position two with HIV/AIDS infection worldwide,
while with new infections it leads the world.
