The Government of Lesotho is holding a Leaders Forum in Maseru today, regarding the commencement of national constitutional reforms recommended by the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
In an interview with Harvest FM News Department, the press attaché in the prime minister’s office Mr. Thabo Thakalekoala, pointed out that this forum will be lead by SADC, and will commence on Thursday the 23rd August 2018 at Avani Lesotho in Maseru.
He further mentioned that SADC delegation arrived in Lesotho on Wednesday the 22nd August 2018, while the President of South Africa and SADC facilitator in Lesotho His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa, will arrive on Friday the 24th August 2018 and officially close the forum.
Mr Thakalekoala pointed out that Ramaphosa will not be present at the forum before Friday this week, because as the new president he has other official duties to attend in South Africa.
He indicated that the Lesotho former Prime Minister Dr Pakalitha Bethuel Mosisili, the exiled leader of the Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) Mr Mothejoa Metsing and leaders of all other political parties in Lesotho will be present at the forum, including all relevant stakeholders.
