The Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane, undertook a Working Visit to The Republic of South Africa on Wednesday.
The purpose of this Visit was to meet with President Cyril Ramaphosa, and discuss bilateral issues of mutual interest relating to Migration and Trade Facilitation.
The two Leaders met in Cape Town where the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Mr. Lejone Mpotjoane and the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Police and Home Affairs Mr. Lebona Lephema and other Senior Government Officials.
Lesotho and South Africa enjoy cordial and friendly relations underpinned by people-to-people relations that span many centuries and across generations. Lesotho and South Africa share strong historic ties of kinship, language and culture including close and unique geographic proximity.
The two sisterly countries conduct their economic cooperation within the structured framework of Bi-National Commission (BNC) signed in 2021 and officially launched in September, 2023.
