The Minister of Public Works and Transport Honorable Prince Maliehe, said the increase in taxi fares has been approved.

This he said yesterday at a press briefing, where he also stated that the increase will be done, considering the type of the taxi and the distance each taxi covers.

He further said the increase has been made in a way that all parties shall benefit.

Therefore the 4+1 taxis fare has been increased to M10.00, a mini bus to M9.00 and a bus to M6.50 locally.

However the new increase will be implemented on the 1st July 2018.
