The Bacha Entrepreneurship Project is more than a project; it is a shared commitment to build a more inclusive, dynamic, and resilient economy through the empowerment of young Basotho, said Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) Head of Strategic Partnerships & PR Mr Pheello Mphana.

He further indicated that they understand that revenue does not grow in isolation, it is cultivated in fertile ground, where innovation thrives, businesses grow, and entrepreneurship is nurtured. That is why they are proud to partner with Standard Lesotho Bank and BEDCO in this bold and forward-thinking Corporate Social Investment initiative. He said with this project they are providing seed funding to ambitious young entrepreneurs with viable business ideas. But just as important, it will offer mentorship, training, and ongoing support because launching a business is not just about capital; it’s also about capacity, and confidence.

“Our youth are brimming with ideas, creativity, and the hunger to build something meaningful. Yet too often, they are held back by lack of access, access to funding, to skills, and to networks. Today, we say: No more. Today, we invest not only in businesses, but in dreams.” Stated Mphana

On the other hand, Mr. Manyathela Kheleli, Marketing Manager for Communications and Sponsorships indicated that since its inception in 2014, the Bacha Entrepreneurship Project has played a pivotal role in driving positive change and creating opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs. With an investment of over M10 million, saying they have supported the dreams and ambitions of 33 businesses and provided employment opportunities for 184 young individuals. This remarkable achievement underscores the transformative impact of entrepreneurship on sustainable development and the creation of a brighter future for our society.
