Thaba Tseka Nov 01 -- A 33-year-old Tsoanelo Thonkha has put the district on the map after scoping the third prize during the Sebabatso Youth entrepreneurs and innovators.
Speaking during an interview with the Agency, Miss Thonkha stated that the prize is going to help expand their hatchery business that was established in 2021.
She said their business named SylRose hatchery has been facing challenges such as loss of stock but that never discouraged them.
Miss Thonkha appealed to the youth to look at their target and not to be discouraged by challenges encountered in running a business.
She also stated that she was the only one representing Thaba Tseka and most youth presented the same ideas and that had given her a chance.
She was presented with M45000.00 as a prize and a trip to Kenya to attend the Youth Connection forum where they are expected to pitch business ideas and share experiences.
Sebabatso is the Prime Ministers initiative meant to put to live innovation, curb unemployment and was supported by United Nations Development Program (UNDP)
