The Government of Lesotho plans to hold negotiations with the leader of LCD

The Government of Lesotho will engage in negotiations with the Lesotho Congress for Democracy(LCD) leader Honorable Mothejoa Metsing, and all other Basotho who are on exile.

The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology Honorable Thesele ‘Maseribane, said as the government they set a delegation that will sit for negotiations, with LCD leader and other Basotho who are on exile.

He said the Government of Lesotho aims to bring all Basotho who fled the country back home, and further said the government through the office of the Secretary General, has released a statement announcing and informing LCD leader, that after Easter Holidays the delegation will hold negotiations with him.

On the issue of remarks by opposition parties in parliament, that detained soldiers charged with several crimes be released, Honorable ‘Maseribane said the government does not interfere with the courts of law, when they execute their duties.

He further said the government aims for LCD leader to return home, and contribute in the reforms process, and promised he will be provided with security if he wishes.
