Detective Sub Inspector Thabo Setenane, Qacha’s Nek Police Station Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Manager says infidelity has claimed yet another man;s life in the district. Speaking to the Agency on Wednesday, Detective Setenane said the deceased went to Ha Matlali to see his 29-year-old girlfriend, and as he was walking with a friend from afar village of Nts`upe on July 01, the suspect, Thabang Khopane who is also a boyfriend to the lady appeared and the deceased insulted him.
A fight broke out resulting in the suspect stabbing the deceased twice - on the chest and collarbone leaving him dead in cold blood before fleeing the scene.Detective Setenane called on people to stop having multiple partners as it often doesn;t end well.He also advised all to refrain from carrying lethal weapons as they are the source of futile deaths.
Meanwhile, Khopane, a 27-year-old man of Tsoelike, Ha Matlali on Wednesday faced a murder charge of the deceased, contravening Penal Code Act No.6 of 2010 for allegedly committing the crime.The Qacha;s Nek Magistrate Court remanded him in custody after a brief appearance before Senior Magistrate Tse;eliso Bale and Prosecutor Advocate;Mabohlokoa Nkuebe on Wednesday. He will re-appear before court on July,16. Qacha;s Nek has registered several deaths in relation to cheating this year.
