World Vision Director for Advocacy and Justice for Children,Mrs 'Maseisa Ntlama, says Ending Child Marriage in Lesotho remains top priority of the organisation’s projects,drumming that as part of the ending child marriage campaign that was launched in Lesotho last year making Lesotho the 21st African Union country to join the campaign,world vision shall commemorate the International Day of the Girl child in Mapoteng tomorrow(Thursday the 11th )
According to World vision her Majesty Queen ‘Masenate Bereng Seeiso in her capacity as the champion of the organization shall lead the ceremony under this year’s theme, With Her: A Skilled Girl Force
Mrs Ntlama says the day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights, highlighting that reports from seven districts of Lesotho in 12 programmes revealed that most children who are married come from Mpharane.

Since 2012, 11 October has been marked as the International Day of the Girl child
