The SADC facilitation team  witnessed the signing declaration of the government and Opposition on the Execution of reforms at Avani Lesotho yesterday.

 

These signing declaration was led by the SADC facilitation team leader Justice Likhang Moseneke Where On behalf of the Government and opposition The Deputy Prime Minister Honourable Monyane Moleleki and Honourable Mathibeli Mokhothu signed the agreement respectively.

 

The parties unequivocally commited themselves to the declaration of the national leaders forum as set out in annexture And their ongoing Participation. They also affirmed the composition of the NDPC and confirmed that it will be the vehicleto prepare for the national Dialogue.

 

How ever on the case of exiled leaders the declaration states that the government of the Kingdom Of Lesotho shall ensurethe safety of all citizens in exile and must provide adequate security for the leader of Lesotho congress for Democracy who is in exile mr Mothejoa Metsing and other similarly placed exiled highlighting that they will not be subjected to any pending Criminal proceedings during the dialogue and reforms process.Should mr Metsing choose to ignore this agreement the reforms shall however continue in his absence.
