The Right Honorable Prime Minister Dr Motsoahae Thomas Thabane officially closed the 9th Conference of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) in Maseru on Friday the 19th October 2018.In his remarks Prime Minister Thabane said as with previous similar events the 9th Annual Conference  of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants has been a resounding success as the quality of speakers chosen for the event was above par.He said they have been richly taught and edified by well celebrated practitioners such as the Minister of Finance in the Republic of South Africa Mr Tito Mboweni.He also applauded the organizers of the conference and members of accounting profession for demonstrating their commitment to making a contribution in positioning Lesotho towards prosperity and economic resilience.Honorable Thabane indicated that the theme of this year namely; Reimagining Business in Africa, A Journey Towards Economic Resilience has been appropriate for the current international economic juncture.He said the United Nations reports that the world economy has strengthened since the global economic and financial crisis that engulfed African countries ten years ago.
