The Kingdom of Lesotho commemorated and remembered soldiers who died during World War 1 in 1914-1918 and World War 2 that took place in the year 1929-1945 respectively.

It is reported that on top of 2000 soldiers who participated in both wars, over 10 000 soldiers lost their lives.

On that Occasion His Majesty King Letsie III,the Deputy Prime Minister Honourable Monyane Moleleki, the president of the house of the Senate, the speaker in the national assembly, the Acting Chief Justice, the Mayor of Maseru, the Commander of Lesotho Defence Force(LDF) and the representatives of the retired soldiers beard some wreaths.

This day was celebrated by the sound of gun shots and having a two minutes moment of silence at 11:00am as that was the time world war one ended on the 11th November 1918.
