The Principal Secretary of Local Government and Chieftainship Mrs Maliehe said the road construction at Manonyane in Roma Constituency ought to have been completed in February this year, just before the end of the financial year.

Mrs Maliehe said however, that did not happen due to the construction machines that got broken in January this year, therefore this resulted in the delay of the wok.

She however said they had to return the money which they already had in their hands to the government, as it belonged to the previous financial year.

This road construction was meant to join the areas of Liphakoeng, Lithoteng, Hatabutle, Ha-Mafefooane and Tloutle and it was going to cost over two million Maloti estimated funds.

This became a huge challenge to the government as it has been over a long period of time the work not being completed because of the broken construction machinery.
