IEMS STUDENTS FIGHT FOR THEIR TRANSCRIPTS AND CERTIFICATES AFTER THEIR GRADUATION CEREMONY.
IEMS students fight for their transcripts and certificates after their graduation ceremony.
15 November 2018 | 15:48

Some of the students of National University of Lesotho (NUL)-IEMS Campus who graduated in the last academic year, complain that they have not been given their transcripts and certificates, as the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) has not fully paid their tuition fee for the previous academic year.

In their report they said they graduated on the 22nd September 2018, but they were not granted their transcripts and certificates, as NMDS has not paid their tuition fee, although they signed a contract with them and they were given book allowances.

According to the students, their tuition fee which was supposed to be paid by NMDS does not appear in the university accounts, and for this reason they are denied their transcripts and certificates.

They also indicate that before they graduated, they wrote a letter to NMDS director on the 30th August 2018, with SRC making her aware of their situation.

They said they were promised that they will get their certificate and transcripts before the graduation ceremony, as the payments were already in the process, but up until now they are still waiting.
