SIGN LANGUAGE STUDENTS GRADUATE
26 November 2018 | 15:02

The minister of Social Development Honorable Matebatso Doti has congratulated the graduates who just completed their sign language course.

Honorable Doti said it is very important that they learnt this language.

She stated that her ministry is working really hard to see to it that this subject is included in the Lesotho`s education system. She said such a law has been passed in the parliament to be looked into for the very first time and it was expected that before end of this year this law will have prevailed but unfortunately it will happen on a later stage.

Doti further indicated that four years back the government of the kingdom of Lesotho got into talks about the law that allows everybody who has disability a right to make their own decisions.

On that occasion the leader of Lnford Mrs.  Mabataung Khetsi said it is really important that everyone learn sign language as a way of supporting people with disability on issues of life and education.

However 25 students were awarded their certificates over the weekend.
