MAKUBAKUBE SAYS CHURCH AND POLITICS ARE NOT RIVALS TO EACH OTHER.
Makubakube says church and politics are not rivals to each other.

The Christian Council of Lesotho (CCL) Secretary General Mr Khosi Makubakube, says church and politics are not rivals to each other, as the two of them are run by a man.

Mr Makubakube says church revives the fear of a man for him to serve God, and to work for the development of the society, while other issues relating to how a man lives his life are politics in which there are leaders.

He also said it worries to see political leaders refusing to listen to the church when it guides them, and try to revive their fear for the Lord.

Mr Makubakube further explained that CCL intervenes, when there are issues that weaken peace and stability of the nation, regardless of who are in government in the country.

In his statement he said political leaders are members of the church, which is also a member of CCL.
