A thirty-one years old man of Kolo Ha-Ranthethi who lives at Ha-Thetsane in Maseru, was arrested by the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) on the 31st January 2019, in connection with the death of his thirty years old wife.

The Lesotho Mounted Police Service spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli, said the body of the wife was found at Sethaleng in Maseru, with gun wounds on the 1st December 2018.

Superintendent Mopeli said according to the reports the man and his wife had family issues, and on that day they walked together from Ha-Thetsane into the city, and when they arrived at Sethaleng the man shot and killed his wife and left her.

Mopeli said the man ran away with the hand bag of her wife and sent himself messages with her phone, as if his wife was reporting to him that she was being kidnapped by the unknown vehicle.

He said the man notified his neighbors about the messages seeking for assistance, and he was arrested and is now in police custody.
