Members of the All Basotho Convention (ABC) executive committee, who were elected during the party’s elective conference last weekend, have announced themselves in Maseru yesterday.

A member of the party Mr Montoeli Masoetsa, said the Lesotho Council of Non-Government Organizations (LCN ), which was given a mandate of running the ABC’s national executive committee elections, released the results on Wednesday this week.

Mr Masoetsa said the incoming committee was elected, after a five years period of the outgoing committee expired.In a statement Mr Masoetsa said Dr Motsoahae Thomas Thabane, is the leader of the new committee and Professor Nqosa Mahao is his deputy.

He said the chairperson is Honorable Sam Tsoinyane Rapapa, and is deputed by Honorable Chalale Phori.Mr Masoetsa further pointed out that the new ABC secretary general is Honorable Lebohang Hlaele, whose deputy is Honorable Nkaku Kabi, and Honorable Tlali Mohapi is the news treasurer-general.

According to the report, Honorable Likhapha Masupha is the new rapporteur, while Mr Montoeli Masoetsa is the new public relations officer, and his deputy is Honorable ‘Matebatso Doti.The new ABC executive committee introduced itself from outside the party offices, as the offices were locked.

Speaking on this issue in relation to the unity of members of ABC, Mr Masoetsa said the party leader  Dr Motsoahae Thomas Thabane showed the direction.
