Teachers promise to continue with their strike.

The Lesotho Teachers Trade Union (LTTU) secretary general  Mrs ‘Mapitso Molai, says teachers will fail to administer the anti-worms albendazole pills to students as expected by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training, unless final solutions to their grievances are provided.

Molai expressed this in Maseru yesterday on the first day of their strike, where she further stated that teachers have come to a point where they have lost their patience and they want long-term solutions to their complaints.

In her statement she said even though they have lost hope in the cabinet sub-committee set out to intervene in their grievances, they are going to have a meeting with it before Monday next week.

Molai explained that if no solutions are provided to their complaints, they will continue with their strike and stay at home for three weeks and come back to work on the fourth week.
