A thirty-one years old man Moeketsi Koloti of Ha-Ranthethi in Mafeteng, was released from jail in the Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) in Maseru yesterday.

Koloti who is a member of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) ranking at the level of Private was previously arrested on the 4th February 2019, for allegedly shooting and killing his thirty years old wife ‘Maithabeleng Koloti at Sethaleng sa Mopapa in Maseru on the 30th November 2018.

He was staying in Ha-Thetsane in Maseru, and reports indicated that he shot and killed his wife in attempt to claim M120 000 insurance payouts from one insurance company they had subscribed with.

The prosecutor in the Maseru Magistrate Court said his trial is not yet over, as the investigation tests to the gun he used are not yet completed.

He said the details of this trial will be revealed in court on Monday next week.
