A sixty years old man Monkhoenyane Mohoshela of Bokhoase appeared before the Mokhotlong Magistrate Court on the 15th March 2019, for fraud and money laundering of M20 000 from the Libibing Wool and Mohair Farmers Association.

He was given a M20 000 bail and M10 000 surety which he failed to pay, and he is now awaiting trial in jail.

He was the deputy secretary of the same association and he will appear in court on the 29st March 2019.

The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) Spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli said on the 11th January 2018, the suspect forged other people’s signatures on the association’s bank accounts, where he managed to withdraw the money illegally

He said members of the association requested him to pay the money but he refused, and in November last year the association opened a fraud and money laundering case against him.
