The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) received a report on the 5th June this year, that a hand of a human being was found exposed from sand along the bank of Tebe-Tebe river in Berea.

The LMPS Spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli said the report was received after shepherds discovered the hand from the sand, when they were herding their animals.

He said the police rushed to the place, dug out the sand and they found the body of a thirty years old pregnant woman who was identified as a resident of Khalahali in Ha-‘Mamathe.

He further said the two hands of a woman were cut from her body, and police are searching for the suspects.
