Ministry of Social Development signed a memorandum of understanding, with Veterans of Football Association Lesotho in Maseru yesterday.

Speaking at the event chairperson of the association Mr. Lebeko Nots’i, said they started their association last year and it is made up of former football stars that were best players and loved by many people.

He said they formed the association with the aim of inspiring young football players in Lesotho, so that they strive to achieve what they have achieved.

Mr. Not’si explained that to implement their plan they approached Ministry of Social Development through department of elderly people.

Minister of Social Development Honorable Temeki T’solo congratulated the veterans for the forming of football association, based on the mandate of his ministry of taking care of elderly people and ensuring their welfare.

He further said their mandate cannot be achieved by one person but can be achieved by working together with government, and private institutions like the association of football veterans Lesotho.
