The Lesotho National Federation of Organizations of the Disabled (LNFOD) encouraged the Government of Lesotho to allocate funds that will be used for implementing the National Disability and Rehabilitation Policy.

LNFOD chairperson Advocate Nkhasi Sefuthi, said the new Education for All policy of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the National Disability and Rehabilitation agreement, do not benefit disabled people as they are not yet implemented in Lesotho.

He said according to the agreement, educational materials including books should be written, such that visually impaired people will be able to read them.

Sefuthi further explained that they were promised that the government through Ministry of Education and Training will include the “Education for All” policy in the 2019/2020 financial year, although it was established last year.
