Lesotho will have an international church leadership gathering, for the development of Jesus Christ teaching approach and strategies in August this year.

In a statement, the Lesotho Purpose Drive Churches Peace Plan says the soon-to-be-visited missions are to assist the clergy of Lesotho, to get them to improve according to the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ, based on the five core ministries of Jesus Christ.

The national coordinator, who is working with members of National Steering Committee (NSC) in Lesotho Rev. John Maphephe, says the majority of visitors will be from the United States and Rwanda, whose countries have already used the PDC Peace Plan to improve them.

Reverend Maphephe said a committee made up of ministers of various churches, spiritual including indigenous churches, mainline and traditional churches in Lesotho will start this week to meet with the ministers of all churches in Lesotho, inviting them to a meeting called “Purpose Driven Church and Peace for Lesotho”.

He said the PDC focuses on building relationships with all sectors of society, to eradicate poverty, train community leaders in all sectors of their lives, and also equip church leaders.
