The Royal Archives and Museum based in Matsieng awarded “Econo Foods grocery shopping vouchers” worth M300.00, to 15 winners who participated in the competition of writing books and sending short cell phone messages, wishing His Majesty King Letsie III a happy birthday.

During the event in Maseru on Tuesday this week, a member of the board of directors of Royal Archives and Museum Mr. Motsoakapa Makara, said this year they decided to celebrate King’s Birthday differently.

He said they met with many business people to require sponsorships and financial support, so that they will create a platform for people to write books and send messages wishing the King, a happy birthday.

The Royal Archives Managing Director Mrs. ‘Maneo Ralebitso, said the books and short messages will be handed over to the King to read them.

She said next year and the other years to come, they will continue to allow people to write books and send messages, wishing King Letsie III a happy birthday.

One of the winners Mrs. ‘Malenko Pitso expressed her gratitude to Econo Foods and the Royal Archives and Museum; she encouraged people to enter the competition next year.
