The Lesotho Sports and Recreation Committee (LSRC), is concerned about the Lesotho Amateurs Athletics Association (LAAA), which is at risk of failing to attend the 2019 All-Africa Games.

The LSRC Spokesperson Mr Sejanamane Maphathe, said the games will take place in Morocco from 19th to 31st August 2019, and the team has to leave the country on the 22nd August 2019.

He said on the 26th June 2019, the 2019 All-Africa Games Task Team notified them of the games, and also requested them to submit the list of athletes, who will participate in the games.

He said LSRC submitted the list and met to discuss the games, and they found there was no transparency in the selection criteria of the athletes.

Mr Maphathe pointed out that they held different meetings with sports directors, and also with the task team to negotiate transparency, in the selection criteria of the athletes to Morocco without success.
