The Maseru Domiciliary Clinic awarded certificates to village health workers from different villages in Maseru, on Friday the 11th October 2019.

Speaking during the event, the clinic manger Sister Cecilia Khachane said the event is the first of its kind to be held by their clinic.

She said they are happy to have health village workers in their clinic, as they will make their work easier.

Khachane said the workers were selected by people in their villages, based on their good qualities including the ability to keep secrets of the patients.

She said the workers are from the villages of Moshoeshoe II, Sea Point, Thibella and Stadium Area which are all around the City of Maseru.

The village health workers were equipped with skills including treating patients, vaccines for babies and children, worms and blindness treating medicines, baby feeding and supplementary food for babies six months old and more.

Speaking on behalf of the village chief, one resident Mr Matela Monaphathi expressed her gratitude to the Maseru Domiciliary Clinic, and also encouraged the village workers to work hard and with commitment.
