The Lesotho Netball Association (LNA) sent its team to the Africa Netball Cup tournament to be held in Cape Town in South Africa, from the 18th to the 22nd October 2019.

The LNA Spokesperson Mrs ‘Mamakebe Moshoeshoe, said the tournament is held annually, except during the times of financial constraints for the preparations of the tournament.

She said sometimes the tournament is used as a tool to select the four best performing teams, which will represent Africa in the Netball World Cup.

She said their team has to participate in the tournament, although this year would be the ninth year they would not be participating in it.

The LNA Chairperson Mrs Seila Moluoane, said the aim of their team in the tournament is to show the world that Lesotho is part of Africa Netball Games.

She expressed that they have not been participating in the games, due to the financial restraints they had been facing.
