Twenty-seven years old man Senke Taneso of Pheoheng in Maseru district appeared in the Maseru Magistrate Court on the 8th October 2019, accused of the death of his twenty-five years old wife.

He is awaiting trial in police custody, and will re-appear in court on the 18th October 2019.

The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli said the woman disappeared on the 27th December last year, and the suspect claimed she had gone to work in South Africa.

Reports indicate that the family of the woman got suspicious, and in January this year they found that the cell-phone of the woman was unreachable, and they reported this to the police.

Mopeli said on the 2nd October this year, children were playing on the sand where they found the human skull, and they reported this to the elder people.

He said people dug deep into the sand and they found bones, a cloth and a hair piece, and they arrested the man and handed him to the police in October this year.
