Twenty-one years old man appeared in the Mokhotlong Magistrates Court on the 22nd November 2019, for allegedly raping a fifteen years old girl.

He was given a bail of M1 000 and a surety of M3 000, which he both failed to pay, and will appear in court again on the 6th December 2019.

The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) Spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli, said police received a tip-off from one person, that there is one girl who is being abused at this man’s place.

According to the report police rushed to the place, and found the girl already four months pregnant.

The man and the girl are copusins, in that one is a child of another’s uncle, while the other is a child of another’s grandfather.
