Ministry of Health welcomed the first group of doctors from Cuba in Maseru on Tuesday 4th December 2019.

Speaking during the occasion, the Minister of Health Honorable Nkaku Kabi said they visited Cuba last time, where among others they were going to request to be provided with doctors.

He said they are happy and grateful with the presence of these doctors and their skills in Lesotho.

In his remarks he indicated that they visited those doctors in their work places, and they learned that they are hard working people influenced by their culture.

Kabi explained that one group was left behind when they changed their plans, after realizing they had requested 36 general doctors.

He said they decided to take half of general doctors and half of specialist doctors, and in this category they are still on selection process.
