MINISTRY OF HEALTH RELEASES A STATEMENT ON THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS.
Ministry of Health releases a statement on the spread of coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health announced that it has taken measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Lesotho, first reported in the city of Wuhan in China in December last year.

In a statement the ministry said it has intensified surveillance in all points of entry especially at Moshoeshoe I International Airport in Mazenod, ensured development and dissemination of guidelines on coronavirus to be used for assessment of travelers that include travel history, and enhancing of infection prevention and control by provision of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

According to the statement, there is no vaccine for coronavirus infection currently, and the symptoms include runny nose, headache, coughing and sore throat, fever and breathing difficulties.

The Ministry of Health urges all people travelling to and from the affected countries to seek advice from the Ministry before travelling, to also cooperate with the staff at ports of entry, and further request anyone who may have travelled or may have contact with those who had travelled to affected places, or with the signs and symptoms indicated to seek health services from nearest health facility.
