Central Bank of eSwatini member of staff tests positive for COVID-19 following her visit from Lesoth

Ministry of Health informed the public that the Central Bank of Lesotho has been made aware that a 33 years old female member of staff of the Central Bank of eSwatini, who visited the Central Bank of Lesotho, was found to be COVID-19 positive following her visit.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health says members of staff of Central Bank of Lesotho who were in contact with the mentioned member of staff of the Central Bank of eSwatini, are currently being followed up by the National Rapid Response Team of the Ministry of Health, inclusive of the epidemiologists to rule any possible effects on them.

According to the statement in the interim, precautionary measures such as self isolation in their homes, and not to report for work in the next seven days have been implemented.

The Ministry of Health informs the public that it will monitor the situation, and update them on any new developments.

Signs and symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, difficulty in breathing, runny nose, sore throat and headache.

To avoid the infection, people are advised to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least twenty seconds, and if soap and water are not available, they are advised to use hand sanitizers with more than 60% alcohol.

They are also advised to avoid touching their faces with unwashed hands, stay hydrated and get enough rest, as well as to cover their mouths and noses when they cough or sneeze.
