POLICE ARRESTS FOUR MEN IN CONNECTION WITH ROBBERY IN SEMONKONG.
Police arrests four men in connection with robbery in Semonkong.

Four men were arrested by police in Semonkong on the 14th April 2020, for allegedly hijacking and robbing two Pakistanis business people.

The suspects are twenty-six years old man from Ha-‘Mapitsi in Popa, twenty-five years old man from Polateng in Semonkong, thirty-seven years old man from Ha-‘Nelese in Maseru, and forty-three years old man from Mazenod.

According to the reports two Pakistanis business men passed in Thaba-Putsoa, and they met suspects who were pretending to be herders.

The suspects were blocking the road with rocks and when the two business men stopped their car, they pointed them with guns and robbed them M21000.

The matter was reported to the police who rushed to the place, and three suspects were found in grasslands, while another was hiding in a Honda Fit of plate numbers L053 which they were going to run away with.

The suspects were found with M6 000, a hammer, Pump Action with one bullet, and also 7.5mm gun with thirteen bullets.


They are in police custody and they will appear in court when police investigations are completed.
