Maseru, May. 08 -- The Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Shooting Club takes part in the Combat Rifle Shooting Evaluation which is aimed at reminding them of their responsibilities as security agencies. The event will take place in Bloemfontein from today (Monday) to May 26. 

Lieutenant Colonel Sakeng Lekola from LDF Public Relations Office, indicated that the purpose of the shooting tournament is to increase strength, stamina, balance, hand and eye coordination amongst others, and to help the team to preserve peace and stability. He said apart from body strength, the other purpose of the shooting tournament is to remind soldiers of the importance of adhering to weapon handling, and remind them of the skills of shooting. 

Leut. Col.  Lekola stressed that having good relations as security agencies can have a direct impact on their professional success, adding that knowing how to build relationships is a skill.He stated that having teammates that one respect can motivate them to perform to the best of their abilities and good communication with them can help all of them to perform various tasks.

LDF Commander Lieutenant General Mojalefa Letsoela said Discipline is vital in every action that they will take, and that is the only way to go in order to raise Lesotho flag. He appealed with the team to adhere to laws that govern South Africa and all rules of the game.
