A team of Chinese medical Doctors visited Mokhotlong to offer free medical services at two Contractors camps from Friday and Saturday. On Friday they visited the SUN JV Company which has been awarded to construct the Polihali Dam while today  (Saturday) the team was at the Kopano ke Matla camp, a company that will be constructing the
transfer tunnel from Polihali to Katse.

Chinese Medical Team Leader Dr. Jeff Wang said the event was meant to provide workers and the local people with medical services for promotion of a healthy living.“Today we will do our best to help the villagers here solve their health problems” he said. Dr. Jeff further explained that people who seriously need medical attention will be reffered to Motebang Hospital, in Leribe where the team is currently working at.He concluded that provision of free medical services also aims to further strengthen the friendship that exists between the people of Lesotho and that of China.

The Chinese medical teams have been working in Lesotho for more than 25 years now and this year is also the 60th anniversary of Chinese medical aid to Africa.   This is the 17th batch of Chinese medical team working in Lesotho now.
