The members of the Senate have on Wednesday paid tribute to the late Dr Motleheloa Phooko.While paying tribute to the former member of the Senate, the Principal Chief of Matelile Chief Moholobela Moholobela said the late Dr Phooko has made a contribution during his time as member of the Senate.He indicated that his loss is not only to his family but also to the nation as a whole especially in the health fraternity due to his skills and knowledge as a medical doctor.

Sharing the same sentiments, the Principal Chief of Ramabanta Chief Bereng Api said Dr Phooko instilled them with skills that they have as to be active members of the Senate He indicated that with the presence of Dr Phooko in the Senate, they learned a lot from him as a person and as a colleague.

Dr Motloheloa William Phooko was given an official funeral last week Friday at Lithabaneng following his passing on May, 08. He has served as Minister in the Prime Minister’s office, as Minister of Public Service as well as the minister of Health.
