Following his time of acting as the Chief Executive Officer  to the Lesotho Communications Authority, Mr. Nizam Goolam has been officially appointed as the substantive boss to the authority.While introducing him to the authority staff on Monday, the Minister of Information, Communication, Science, Technology and Innovation Ms. Nthati Moorosi indicated that it has been a long time since the authority has not had a CEO and Mr. Goolam having been acting.

She said that collaboration and support that will come from the staff to the Chief Executive Officer will come in highly appreciated as to see that the authority functions better. In his maiden speech, the incoming CEO, Mr. Nizam Goolam showed appreciation on his appointment showing that the support he has been getting for the staff has been a great one. He mentioned that the authority has its own strategic plan and other priorities which can only be made possible through the collaborative work that the staff has been putting in together.

Mr. Goolam however pleaded with his colleagues to continue working hard as to ensure that they put the authority at the position it continues to be of great benefit even to the next generations. Meanwhile, on behalf of the colleagues Advocate Thato Ponya said that with the longest time that they have had Mr. Goolam as acting CEO, they have never had a doubt of his leadership. He mentioned that as his right-hand men, they shall continue ushering him with all the support he needs as to see for the proper functionality of the authority. Mr. Nizam Goolam comes in as the successor of Mrs. ‘Mamarame Matela.
