With climate change affecting the weather patterns around the world, 2023 winter seems to be extremely cold and thus raising concern about clothing for the vulnerable communities.

Society for Women and AIDS in Africa (SWAALES) being one of the caregivers for the vulnerable within the Leribe district, in particular Ramapepe community is also concerned about their community group.

The chairperson of SWAALES at Ha-Ramapepe Mrs. ‘Mamohatla Ramapepe said, the excessive cold that is being experienced this year has forced the society to seek more warm clothes, such as coats and jackets for the beneficiaries.

She mentioned that they always get clothes from community members from all over but the society would appreciate more warm coats, and jackets for the beneficiaries especially children, from the ages of 5 to adult size.

Ramapepe highlighted that they have already distributed others but due to the weather it is not enough.
