Subsequent to complaints on social media platforms concerning King Letsie III 60th Royal Empire Cake, the designer of the cake, Mrs. ‘Mamoshe Makumane, deeply explained how magnificent the cake was.

The founder of Mosh School of Baking and Catering said the cake is an extra-ordinary design meant not only to embrace the magnitude of Chieftainship but observe the diamond era as well.

Mrs. Makumane, whose school has been giving out cakes for free annually during King’s birthday for the last eight years, explained that Royal Empire Cake is different from ordinary cakes, adding the cake is a mixture of lawn, statue of the King, fountain, a hand drawn portrait of the King including Qiloane mountain to mention a few, thus signaling royalty and kingdom.

Moreover, she indicated that the cake was approximately two meters long and weighed almost 200kg, and she added that cake was not only about what others perceive it to be, it was also about communicating a hidden message.
