WORLD VISION SAYS CHILDREN FACE A NUMBER OF CHALLENGES IN TODAY’S DYNAMIC WORLD
World Vision says children face a number of challenges in today’s dynamic world

Members of the media remain a key sector that has ability to become children's advocates, thus prevent children from becoming victims of abuse in its different forms.

According to World Vision Lesotho (WVL) Communications and Marketing Manager, Ms. Lerato Brown, children face a number of challenges in today’s dynamic world, that include early child marriages, physical violence and other forms of abuse.

Therefore, she explained that having worked with a number of children under WVL programmes, Ms. Brown noted the importance of the media to cover the voice of children as they report stories of children. Even so, she commended efforts from the media including stakeholders dealing with issues of children, saying the more children stories, their rights and their issues are talked about, the more all will accept that children are human beings and that they have opinions as well.

Information from UNICEF Lesotho in relation to children and the challenges they face on a daily basis indicate that more and more girls continue not only to become victims of physical abuse, but they are abused mentally and otherwise by those close to them.
