Two attackers detonated a bomb in front of Turkish government buildings in Ankara on Sunday, leaving both of them dead and two police officers wounded, and a Kurdish militant group claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to reports, this incident happened in a central capital city near a ministerial building and the parliament. The interior minister, Ali Yerlikhaya said the blast killed one of the attackers while the other attacker was shot by the police.
A senior Turkish official said the attackers had hijacked the vehicle and killed its driver in Kayseri, before carrying out the attack. Furthermore, this incident was reported to be the first in Ankara since 2016, when a spate of deadly attacks gripped the country.
