Thaba Tseka Nov 08 -- The Matsumunyane community has completed a collection of stones
aimed at filling the donga in their village.
This was stated by the District Council Secretary Mr. Thabo Letlatsa on Wednesday in an
interview with the Agency.
According to Mr. Letlatsa, they are waiting for transport to deliver the stones to the
designated place.
He said they are also waiting for the machinery which is currently deployed in the
maintenance of the road leading to Malibamats’o river.
He said when they have completed the job, the machinery will be taken to Ha Matsumunyane
Moreneng to begin the process.
Meanwhile, he also said they are in a process to start with the construction of four small
bridges to make it easy to cross the river valleys in that area.
He said they are awaiting the tendering process which will enable them to start engaging the
construction company to drill the big stones.
He said they are not going to use corrugated iron as they get damaged easily.
It is reported that even in Mpokochela the dongas are at the verge of collapsing and could
expose the bodies buried in that cemetery.
